Innovation Federal Credit Union is honored to present $20,000 to the Northern Village of Île-à-la-Crosse to help fund a community splash park, August 29 at 2:00 pm. The park will be a safe water play area equipped with water jets, sprays, and tipping buckets designed for family fun.
“We would like to promote healthy lifestyle changes and this splash park will be another tool we can use to keep our children and youth safe,” says Donny Favel, Chief Administrative Officer for the Northern Village of Ile-a-la Crosse. “Like most communities, Île-à-la-Crosse wants a community of happy and healthy children, people with high self-esteem, people that take pride in their heritage, their homes, and community. We want our people to be proud of who they are and where they come from.”
“Our current membership and community base are what made us who we are today,” says Innovation CEO, Daniel Johnson. “We’re strong supporters of Saskatchewan initiatives, like this one, that continue to reward and support our local members and their communities.”
“Part of our Responsible Banking™ philosophy is sharing profits with our communities,” says Innovation Chief Disruption Officer, Dean Gagne. “Our sponsorship program lets organizations and villages like Île-à-la-Crosse make a true impact where they live. We’re thrilled to support this project and the joy it’ll bring to this wonderful community.”
