To be eligible to receive funding, your organization’s program or community initiative must meet the following criteria:

• Eligibility does not guarantee funding
• Be a Canadian registered charity or non-profit operating in Saskatchewan.
• The program or community initiative must take place in Saskatchewan.
• Submit a fully completed online application
• Review and understand the eligibility criteria listed below.
• Repeat applications may or may not be considered.

Preference will be given to programs or community events that align with one of the following categories:

• Diversity & Inclusion
  • reconciliation,
  • LBGTQ2S+, 
  • newcomers to Canada,  and
  • empowerment of women.
     
• Education
  • financial and digital literacy,
  • reading (literacy), and
  • youth leadership development.
     
• Health & Wellness
  • mental health programs,
  • health services,
     
• Poverty
  • affordable housing projects,
  • food banks, food access and security,
  • providing accessible/equal opportunities, and
  • access to basic needs.

• For-profit organizations
• Pursuits benefiting one or few people (i.e., crowdfunding)
• Individual sports teams
• Religious organizations
• Political organizations
• Funding for school initiatives which includes teacher career and professional development, annual fees, salaries, or field trips
• Funding for travel
• Funding for operating costs
• Funding for research
• Funding for publication or production costs
• Funding for membership or registration fees
• Funding for annual general meetings, conferences, conventions, seminars, or tradeshows

Application period: February 1 to November 1st of each year.

Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before funding is needed.

Requests are reviewed regularly during the application period; however, it may take up to 60 days to review and process your application.
